- Management of legal files: You will be responsible for the complete management of client files, including organizing, updating, and archiving documents. You will ensure that each file is in order and ready for hearings or meetings.
- Preparation of legal documents: Draft, review, and finalize various legal documents such as contracts, settlement agreements, and pleadings. You will ensure that these documents comply with legal standards and the requirements of lawyers.
- Legal research: Conduct legal research to support lawyers in the preparation of cases. You will have to analyze the legal texts, case law, and articles of doctrine to provide relevant and accurate information.
- Support for lawyers: Assist attorneys in their day-to-day tasks, including assisting them in preparing for hearings, drafting legal memos, and coordinating appointments with clients.
- Communication with customers: You will be one of the points of contact for clients, keeping them informed of the progress of their cases and answering their questions with professionalism and discretion.
- Administrative management: Participate in various administrative tasks such as managing agendas, scheduling meetings, and coordinating lawyers' travel.
Requirements:
- Experiment: A minimum of 1 year of experience as a law clerk or in a similar role is required. Experience in a law firm is an asset.
- Language skills: Excellent command of spoken and written French, as well as a good knowledge of English. You will need to be able to communicate clearly and professionally in both languages.
- Technical skills: Proficiency in computer tools, including Office Suite and legal case management software. Knowledge of Aliform software is a plus.
- Personal qualities: Meticulousness, organizational skills, autonomy, and ability to manage multiple priorities. You must also be able to work under pressure while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Interpersonal skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You must be customer service-oriented and able to handle delicate situations with professionalism.
