Job brief
The Civil Law Legal Assistant is responsible for providing administrative and legal support to the lawyers on his or her team, and actively contributes to the accomplishment of the mandates entrusted to him.
Missions and responsibilities
Perform the administrative and legal functions inherent in civil law; Take charge of the opening of client files, including the management of the necessary documentation (mandate, correspondence, supporting documents, etc.); Organize the agenda by scheduling appointments, meetings, hearings and other court events; Effectively manage files and ensure compliance with prescribed deadlines; Prepare legal procedures (complaints, requests, etc.); Formulate, adjust and refine various legal documents; Review documents and correspondence to ensure compliance with grammatical standards; Manage communications with clients, court services and other stakeholders; Organize the filing of documents, both physical and digital; Follow files and correspondence diligently; Perform various administrative tasks (time entry, invoicing, expense management, etc.); Adopt a proactive, constructive and collaborative approach within the team dedicated to civil law.
Desired profile
A minimum of one year of experience as a legal assistant or equivalent is required; Mastery of terminology, legal rules and procedures, as well as Aliform software; Excellent command of French and English, both oral and written; Complete mastery of the Office suite; Ability to perform tasks efficiently and accurately; Meticulous attention to detail, organizational skills; Autonomy, discretion, sense of responsibility and ability to work with deadlines; Ability to work within a team and exceptional interpersonal skills; Skillfully managing multiple priorities concomitantly; Strong focus on customer satisfaction.
