Class action concerning the floods suffered by Sainte-Marthe sur le lac and towns of the Regional County Municipality of Deux-Montagnes.

A class action has been filed against Sainte-Marthe-sur-le-Lac, the Deux-Montagnes RCM and the Government of Quebec, in the interest of all flooded people in Sainte-Marthe-sur-le-Lac and in all the towns of the MRC, in on the one hand because of the flood, which has been a regular occurrence for several years, and also because of the omission, negligence and non-observance of the precautionary principle by the three adversaries who did not take the necessary measures to limit the flood, on the one hand that the dike of Sainte-Marthe was weakened and that on the other hand the phenomenon of large floods was predictable throughout the territory of the RCM, along the shores of the lake des Deux-Montagnes and the Ottawa River.
