Azran Lawyers, located in Old Montreal, is looking for a Property and Property Law Lawyer to join its legal team.
This position is for a lawyer with a passion for real estate and property law, able to provide strategic legal advice and represent our clients in complex transactions and property-related disputes.
As a property lawyer, you will be a key player in protecting our clients’ rights, whether they are acquisitions, sales, leases or real estate disputes.
This role requires great rigour, an excellent understanding of real estate laws, and an ability to negotiate effectively.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Legal advice: Provide expert legal advice on various aspects of property and property law, including real estate transactions, commercial leases, and land disputes.
  You will have to analyze the legal implications of each transaction or dispute and propose appropriate solutions.
• Drafting and reviewing contracts: Draft and review real estate contracts, bills of sale, leases, and other documents related to properties.
  You will need to ensure that all contracts comply with applicable laws and protect the interests of your customers.
• Legal representation: Represent clients in real estate disputes, including ownership disputes, co-ownership disputes, and land disputes.
  You will have to plead on behalf of your clients in court and accompany them throughout the legal process.
• Negotiation of transactions: Negotiate real estate transactions on behalf of your clients, ensuring that their interests are protected at every stage.
  You will need to be tactful and diplomatic in negotiations.
• Case Management: Ensure the complete management of client files, ensuring that all documents are properly organized, updated, and ready for transactions or hearings.
• Communication with customers: Maintain regular communication with clients, keeping them informed of the progress of their files and answering their questions with clarity and professionalism.

Requirements:

• Experiment: Minimum of 3 years of experience in property law.
• Language skills: Fluency in French and English, with excellent written and oral communication skills in both languages.
• Analytical skills: Ability to analyze complex real estate transactions and identify potential risks.
  You will also need to offer tailored solutions to protect your clients’ interests.
• Personal qualities: Rigor, sense of organization, autonomy, and ability to work under pressure.
  You must also have excellent negotiating skills and an ability to collaborate with other team members.
• Technical skills: Proficiency in technological tools for case management and legal research.
