Job description:
Azran Lawyers, located in the heart of Old Montreal, is looking for a Litigation Technician to strengthen its legal team.
This position is intended for a rigorous and methodical person, with expertise in the management of contentious files.
As a Litigation Technician, you will be a key player in the preparation and follow-up of litigation files, working closely with lawyers and other members of the team.
This role requires great attention to detail, an ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and an excellent understanding of court proceedings.

Roles and responsibilities:
- Management of dispute files: Ensure the complete management of litigation files, including the organization, updating, and archiving of documents.
You will be responsible for ensuring that each file is complete and ready for hearings or client meetings. - Preparation of legal documents: Draft, review, and finalize various legal documents, such as complaints, motions, briefs, and pleadings.
You will ensure that these documents meet legal standards and the requirements of lawyers. - Legal research: Conduct extensive legal research to support lawyers in the preparation of litigation cases.
You will have to analyze the legal texts, case law, and articles of doctrine to provide relevant and accurate information. - Support for lawyers: Assist lawyers in preparing cases for hearings and negotiations, ensuring that all necessary documents are available and properly organized.
- Communication with customers: Maintain regular and professional communication with clients, answering their questions and keeping them informed of the progress of their files.
You will be expected to exercise discretion and professionalism in all your interactions. - Coordination of the firm’s activities: Participate in the coordination of the firm’s day-to-day operations, taking charge of managing phone calls, organizing internal and external meetings, and providing logistical support for special events.
Requirements:
- Experiment: A minimum of 2 years of experience as a litigation technician or in a similar role is required.
Experience in a law firm is strongly desired. - Language skills: Excellent command of spoken and written French, as well as a good knowledge of English.
You must be able to write legal documents in both languages. - Technical skills: Proficiency in computer tools, including Office Suite and legal case management software.
Knowledge of Aliform software is a plus. - Personal qualities: Rigor, organizational skills, ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
You must also be autonomous and able to manage several priorities simultaneously. - Interpersonal skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
You must be customer service-oriented and able to handle delicate situations with professionalism.
