Azran Lawyers, located in the heart of Old Montreal, is looking for a Contract and Obligations Lawyer to join its dynamic legal team.
This role is for a lawyer with experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts.
You will play a key role in protecting our clients’ interests by designing strong contracts and ensuring their execution.
As a contract and obligations lawyer, you will help prevent potential disputes and ensure that contractual commitments are met.
This position requires great rigour, an excellent understanding of contract law principles, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with other team members.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Drafting and reviewing contracts: Draft and review various types of contracts, including commercial contracts, partnership agreements, and service agreements.
  You will be responsible for ensuring that contracts comply with applicable laws and protect the interests of our clients.
• Legal advice: Provide expert legal advice on contractual obligations and the legal risks associated with entering into contracts.
  You will need to clearly explain the legal implications to customers and help them make informed decisions.
• Contract Negotiation: Negotiate the terms of contracts with opposing parties to obtain agreements favorable to our clients.
  You will need to be tactful and diplomatic while standing firm in the interests of your clients.
• Management of contractual disputes: Intervene in contractual disputes, developing legal strategies to resolve disputes and representing clients in court when necessary.
• Case Management: Ensure the complete management of client files related to contracts and obligations, ensuring that all documents are properly organized and ready for negotiations or hearings.
• Communication with customers: Maintain regular communication with clients, keeping them informed of the progress of their files and answering their questions with clarity and professionalism.

Requirements:

• Experiment: Minimum of 3 years of experience in contract and obligations law.
• Language skills: Fluency in French and English, with excellent written and oral communication skills in both languages.
• Analytical skills: Ability to analyze complex contracts and identify potential risks.
  You will also need to offer tailored solutions to protect your clients’ interests.
• Personal qualities: Rigor, sense of organization, autonomy, and ability to work under pressure.
  You must also have excellent negotiating skills and an ability to collaborate with other team members.
• Technical skills: Proficiency in technological tools for case management and legal research.
