Azran Lawyers, located in Old Montreal, is looking for a Civil Law Legal Advisor to join its team.
This role is designed for a lawyer with a passion for civil law, able to provide informed legal advice to our clients and represent them in various civil disputes.
As a civil legal advisor, you will be responsible for offering customized legal solutions, tailored to the specific needs of each client.
This position requires an excellent understanding of civil laws, an ability to analyze complex legal situations, and an ability to communicate effectively with clients and other team members.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Legal Consultation: Provide expert legal advice to clients on various aspects of civil law, including contract disputes, liability claims, and real estate disputes.
  You will have to explain the legal implications of each situation and propose appropriate solutions.
• Drafting of legal documents: Draft contracts, settlement agreements, complaints, and other legal documents necessary for case management.
  You will need to ensure that all documents meet legal standards and court requirements.
• Case Management: Ensure the complete management of client files, ensuring that all documents are properly organized, updated, and ready for hearings or negotiations.
• Negotiation: Negotiate out-of-court settlements with opposing parties to avoid lengthy and costly lawsuits, while protecting your clients’ interests.
• Legal representation: Represent clients in civil court, using your expertise to achieve the best possible results.
• Communication with customers: Maintain regular communication with clients, keeping them informed of the progress of their files and answering their questions with clarity and empathy.

Requirements:

• Experiment: Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil law is required.
• Language skills: Fluency in French and English, with excellent written and oral communication skills in both languages.
• Analytical skills: Ability to analyze complex legal situations and propose innovative solutions to resolve civil disputes.
• Personal qualities: Rigor, sense of organization, autonomy, and ability to work under pressure.
  You must also have excellent negotiating skills and an ability to collaborate with other team members.
• Technical skills: Proficiency in technological tools for case management and legal research.
